Spring is a time of renewal and reflection, a moment to appreciate the blessings God has given our mission. Warmer days and steady rain restore life to the earth, washing away the weight of winter.

I am continually inspired by how our shared experiences and hard-earned lessons have made us stronger and better able to serve those most in need in Story County. Every day, I see our volunteers and staff walking alongside our guests: driving them to court hearings, medical appointments, and job interviews, and helping them navigate housing opportunities. Our reach extends far beyond afternoon services, offering a holistic approach to changing lives.

The opening of the Orange House last summer transformed our mission into a city-wide effort. We now address the challenges faced by our unhoused neighbors and those on the brink of hardship. People from all walks of life rallied around us. They volunteered, prepared meals, helped with the remodel, contributed financially, and spread our message of hope.  

Loving our neighbor is at the heart of everything we do. You feel it the moment you walk
through our doors. It is the spirit of strangers becoming community, coming together to help someone navigate a difficult day. Love and compassion deepen as our community flourishes through generosity.
