We are thrilled to announce that the remodel of the Orange House at 702 Clark Avenue
is complete, and we began offering hospitality services on July 28! After a year of
planning, fundraising, and navigating the necessary ordinances and permits, we are
now servicing our community at our new location. While we may still face challenges
within our organization due to the nature of our services, we are profoundly grateful to
God for all He has provided since we started our mission in Ames.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the individuals and organizations
that have supported us on this journey. We thank everyone who has offered prayers for
our mission, made financial contributions, or volunteered countless hours to make the
Orange House a reality.
We would like to recognize our prime contractor, Integrity Construction, for their
outstanding craftsmanship and commitment to keeping our remodeling budget on track.
They transformed our home from disrepair into a beautiful living space.
Our mission is vibrant, and we invite everyone in our community to participate in any
way you can. We are living the Gospel daily at the Ames Romero House.

In this newsletter, I would like to share some highlights from the house blessing
conducted by Archbishop Zinkula on July 24, along with his words of blessing.
Additionally, we have included images from our volunteer training session, our
community open house, and our first day of guest hospitality. On July 25, we were
pleased to welcome visits from the Ames mayor, several city council members,
representatives from the city manager’s office, Story County commissioners, and a
great turnout of local community members who came to view our completed home,
designed to assist local citizens in need.
